IS "NATURAL" REALLY BETTER?
There are people who really do think there are "safe" synthetic chemicals, which can be applied to the skin and eaten in food without doing any harm. However didn't the cigarette manufacturers maintain for over thirty years that the synthetic chemicals in smoke didn’t cause cancer too? It is easy to bury your head in the sand and ignore these dangers as we listen to the hollow platitudes of vested interests that are making billions from a gullible public.
Today, harmful synthetic chemicals are found everywhere, in the food we eat, the air we breathe and even the products we have in our bathrooms. It is no wonder that people everywhere are becoming sick. That is why there is a growing trend, worldwide, towards certified organic products.
The glossy images we're fed by the media hide a dangerous secret: Most of our toiletries, even the "natural variety", are made from the same harsh synthetic chemicals used for industry".
We should avoid toxic synthetic chemicals from all sources. We can do this by sourcing organic produce as much as we possibly can and using only certified organic personal care products and cosmetics. You may be amazed at the huge difference these simple measures will make to your health.
WHY CERTIFIED ORGANIC
HOW DO WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE BUYING IS REALLY “NATURAL” AND “ORGANIC"?
Have you ever wondered what "NATURAL" actually meant when you read it on the bottle of shampoo or skin care product you just bought? Or did you assume because the word natural was used that it must be good for you and safe? You get the product home and then you find you can't even read the long synthetic chemical names on the label let alone pronounce them! Why on earth do they say it is "NATURAL"? How can this be if the synthetic chemical names are so long I can't even begin to pronounce them?
Would you be shocked to find what manufacturers can claim is "natural" is actually so far removed from natural it isn't funny?
If we look in the dictionary for the word organic it is pretty obvious to us what we expect to find as far as safe products in general are concerned. Would you say in the context you are expecting to use or find the term organic that this would be a fair description; "produced and involving production without the use of pesticides, artificial fertilizers or synthetic chemicals." To me it seems rather elementary that when describing a product as organic that this is exactly what the customer would expect. However to the marketing men this is not what they mean by organic.

The Organic salon uses certified organic colours, nutritious hair care products, for organically healthy hair and scalp. A great alternative to those of us with sensitivity to chemicals and toxins. No more itchy, irritated scalps and damaged hair. For those of us who are becoming aware, realizing that products we use do make a difference in our lives and state of health. We advise, educate and create positive change within the salon and your environment. We care !
